Ashé is a multidisciplinary journal that explores the diverse avenues of modern spirituality, examining the ways individuals and groups push at the envelope of spiritual expression and contemplative practice. This book brings together some of the best pieces from Ashé’s first year. This eclectic collection provides glimpses of spiritual experiences from across the spectrum of human diversity—Afro-Cuban Santeria, Buddhism, Hinduism, Osho Neo-Sannyas, the rise & fall of Rajneeshpuram (the Oregon commune of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh), William S. Burroughs, among others. Authors include: Baba Raul Canizares, Trebor Healey, Gail Gutradt, Sven Davisson, Ma Dharmacharya, Autumn Sun Pardee, Ma Prem Jeevan, Cabell MacLean, Phil Hine, Mogg Morgan, Eric K. Lerner, F. R. Davisson and Ruth Moore.
